Bible First privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Bible First is created by MAVAT. It provides offline Bible reading and Agpeya prayer, personal study tools and optional Screen Time app protection.

Information on your device

Bible First stores your reading and prayer progress and history, chosen prayer hours and Psalms, daily reading and prayer goals and schedules, text-size preference, highlights, notes, bookmarks, collections, saved commentary selections and any Bible or commentary files you choose to import on your device. This information is used to provide the features you select. It is not transmitted to MAVAT by the app.

With your permission, Apple's Screen Time frameworks provide privacy-preserving tokens for the apps, categories and websites you select. Bible First stores these tokens and reading/prayer-completion information in a local shared container so its Screen Time extensions can apply your chosen restrictions. MAVAT does not receive a list of your installed apps or a record of your activity in other apps.

No tracking or advertising

The app has no advertising, analytics service, account system or developer-operated backend. Bible First does not track you across apps or websites, sell your information, or send your reading activity to MAVAT.

Choices and deletion

Screen Time authorization is optional. You can revoke it in your device's Settings. You can remove saved items and edit notes inside the app. Deleting the app through iOS or iPadOS removes its local app data; offloading an app can retain data. Your device's backup and restore settings may preserve copies independently of Bible First. Manage these through Apple’s settings. MAVAT does not hold a server-side copy of your reading data to retrieve or delete.

Sharing and external services

If you choose Share, iOS sends only the content you select to the destination you choose. Opening a source or other external link takes you to a third-party service governed by its own privacy policy. External websites may receive normal connection information, such as your IP address. Apple may process device diagnostics or App Store and TestFlight information under Apple's policies and the settings you choose. These services operate separately from Bible First's local reading data.

If you contact support, the information you voluntarily include in your message is used to respond to your request. Do not send private reading notes unless they are necessary for the help you want.

Local reminders

With your permission, Bible First schedules reading and prayer reminders on your device using Apple’s notification framework. No push-notification server, device-token collection or remote reading schedule is used. You can change notification permission in your device settings.
